Hi I am Martin Kopecky' I have had a love
for the outdoors and nature since growing up in the Czech Republic where I lived for 27 years before moving to the
United States in 1996. I have always had an interest in photography, but over the past few years my
interest in photography has become a true passion. Capturing the beauty of the sunrise while watching wildlife awaken
to a new day has always fascinated me and I am especially drawn to the splendor of birds. Wherever I
travel, I try to take in the unique characteristics of the geographic region and the birds that live in that habitat.
I focused my first year in film and then
transitioned into digital photography. Since 1996 I have lived mostly in the Carolina's, but have just recently
moved to Florida. And in my view I have found heaven, this is a birding paradise.
I truely hope that you enjoy viewing my pictures as
much as I enjoyed taking them. I have been published in several magazines and a couple of books, and most recently I
have had the honor of being published in National Geographics Magazine. This is truely one of the best highlights of
my life.
